My favorite thing about the class
was the ability to manage your time for the posts and comments. Since I was
really busy with school and work, this online class helped me because I did
whenever I was free. Also, the class helped me become a tougher critique so
that I make better decisions. The blogs and comments were convenient for me
since I worked at night and had school all day; it gave me the chance to do it
when I wanted to. The least favorite thing about this class were the group projects,
because the reason why I chose this class was to do everything online since I
was too busy to take the class on campus. It’s hard trying to meet up with
group members when everyone has different schedules, plus people don’t respond
or put an effort to help. It was just tough for me and I wasn’t expecting an
online class to do that. All together, the class was awesome; maybe just give individual
projects rather than a group.
I also agree on the fact about the group projects for the same reason. Some people would not respond to emails and when they did it some of the times they were not able to meet up when the rest of the group was meeting because they had night class and the rest of the group had classes throughout the day so we had to settle doing most things online. I do like the fact that it was an online class though because it gave me a much needed break from classes so that my day wasn’t straight classes. Other than the group projects I enjoyed this class.

This class definitely had a 'do it at your own pace' feeling, which was nice compared to a normal class where the teacher makes you do everything when they feel is best for the whole class. Working and going to school is a hard thing to do especially if both are full time so this class gave the opportunity to get credits and be flexible. I can also see where you are coming from with the group assignments. It was hard to get everybody together because of different schedules. I think the problem is related to the amount of flexibility the class had.
ReplyDeleteI think that time management is one of the most important thing to learn. It is so hard now a days to have good time management because of all the things that go through in life now. It really make me work on time management while I was taking this class. One thing that really helped me with time management was that we had to make our post 12 hours apart it really helped me to not procrastinate. I am really bad at procrastinating so this helped me a lot. It was one of the greatest tools that I can use for later on in life.
ReplyDeleteI cannot agree more, I chose this class because it was taught online and I would be able to manage my schedule more effectively. Although there are many times that my work and school schedule interfere with this class, I manage to make it work. The blogs were not a problem. Like you said, my least favorite part of this class were the group projects. Finding the right time to meet with everyone in the group was very difficult to do. I did not expect an online class to require so many group projects, in which we all need to meet in person.
